Every web page has a unique address on the Internet.  This is known as its Uniform Resource Locator, URL for short.

You can see the URL of a web page you are visiting in the Location/Address box of your web browser.

A typical URL is: http://www.acu.edu.au/student-life/index.cfm

URLs consist of four elements
